Nichole Masters

Ballet Instructor

Miss Nichole is a graduate of Cape Town University Ballet School and has studied ballet, modern, Spanish dance, choreography, and choreology. She taught with the Western Cape Education Department for nine years, specializing in ballet and creative dance. During those years she also organized RAD examinations and staged and choreographed student performances.

 

In 1999, she moved to the U.S. and joined the faculty of the Shore Ballet School in Island Heights, NJ. While at Shore Ballet she taught ballet and modern dance and choreographed/staged numerous dances for student performances. Miss Nichole has been examined successfully in RAD and Cecchetti methods and holds the Royal Academy of Dance’s Teachers Dipolma. She is also a certified Group Fitness instructor. She is a member of the American Academy of Ballet and Royal Academy of Dance. Miss Nichole recently obtained certification as a PBT Instructor. (Progressing Ballet Technique); a strengthening and conditioning program that helps improve performance and technique.

 

Since relocating to Delaware in 2010, Miss Nichole has been teaching ballet at Delaware Dance Company and creative dance enrichment programs at area pre-schools. Miss Nichole is very happy to be teaching at Bella Dance Center.

Mandie Quinn

Instructor

Miss Mandie began dancing at the age of two at a local studio.  When she was ten she joined their company where she studied ballet, tap, lyrical, contemporary, jazz, hip hop, musical theater, pointe, modern, and Hawaiian.  While a member of her studio's company she performed in the Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day Parade with Disney and Channel 6 as well as Disney World, parades, and various competitions.  

 

For high school Miss Mandie attended the Southern New Jersey Academy of Performing Arts where she studied dance, receiving training under esteemed instructors including former Pennsylvania Ballet principal dancer David Klaus and former professional modern dancer Althea Leslie.  While in high school Miss Mandie also received the choreography award from her studio.

 

After high school Miss Mandie was a member of the Revere Dance Company whose main focus was contemporary during the 2013-2014 season.  During that time Miss Mandie was also a judge/adjudicator for the That's Entertainment Dance Competition.

 

Miss Mandie began teaching in 2009, instructing all age levels and genres of dance.  She loves to share her passion for the arts with the next generation of dancers.  Miss Mandie is very excited to begin her journey at Bella Dance Center!

Kaylea Patterson
Instructor

Miss Kaylea started dancing at the age of four under the direction of Miss Amy.  She followed Miss Amy to Bella Dance Center, upon it's opening in 2011.  Over the past 12 years she has studied jazz, ballet, musical theater and tap.  In 2013 she joined the Bella Dance Center Competition Team and has won numerous awards including Platinum, High Score Awards, Special Judges' Awards, and Performance Team Invitations.  

Miss Kaylea is an 11th grade student at Appoquinimink High School in the K-12 Teacher Academy Pathway. She is a member of Student Government, Appo High School Marching Band Color Guard, and Orchestra. She has been a Girl Scout since Kindergarten and

earned the Bronze Award.  


Miss Kaylea is at the studio several days a week.  She loves to dance and loves Bella Dance Center.  When she is not dancing she enjoys going to the beach, reading, playing the violin, volunteering and spending time with her family and friends.

Miss Kaylea is honored to have been a Student Teacher for the past four years and is thrilled to continue student teaching while also taking on her own class this year!

Miss Kaylea is honored to have been selected as a student teacher by Miss Amy and is excited to work with younger dancers.  

Mia Carini

Student Teacher

Miss Mia started dancing when she was just 18 months old. She has studied ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical,contemporary, musical theater and pointe.  At two, she started dancing competitively,and has been doing

it ever since. She has won numerous awards including Platinum, High Score Awards, Title Awards, Special Judges' Awards, and the Kindness Award.   

 

Miss Mia has been dancing with Miss Amy for over 10 years and has been at Bella Dance Center since the day it opened. Currently, she is a high school sophomore in Wilmington, DE where she is the Class President of 2024. She is in honors English and Math and is entering year 11 of advanced Greek Language classes and passed her A1 exam for Greek Language. Miss Mia just finished an internship with the Delaware Historical Society in Wilmington.

Miss Mia is at the studio 6 days a week and absolutely loves it. She is planning on dancing for the rest of her life and becoming an instructor for Bella Dance Center. She also has plans to study to work in the medical field in the future. When not dancing she enjoys spending time with her friends and family and traveling. Miss Mia is not only excited to continue to be a BDC dancer but for the opportunity to help teach other students how to dance as well. 

Mia Fraser

Student Teacher

Miss Mia began dancing with Ms. Amy when she was only 2 years old. Now 15 years old, in 10th grade, Mia continues to have a passion for dance, focusing on Jazz, Ballet, and Musical Theatre.  Recently taking on this new position as teacher assistant at Bella Dance Studio, Miss Mia loves growing under the supportive leadership of Miss Amy, while working with the adorable Mommy & Me dancers, and fun-loving 3 & 4 year old dancers each week.  

 

When Miss Mia is not being homeschooled or dancing, she is on the softball field, drawing, painting, designing, or spending time with her family and 5 new chickens.  Taking accelerated classes, Miss Mia will be participating in the Early College Academy Dual Enrollment Program this fall, at Cecil College pursing a degree in engineering, but plans on dancing for the rest of her life!

 

Miss Mia looks forward to working with your dancers and further developing their love of dance.

Gabby Criswell

Student Teacher

Miss Gabby started dancing when she was only 2 years old. She moved to Bella Dance Center at age 7 and has been there ever since. For the past 13 years she’s studied ballet, tap, jazz, and musical theater. She was a member of Bella Dance Center’s Competition Team from 2016-2021.  She is at the studio 5-6 days a week and loves it!

 

When Miss Gabby isn’t dancing she enjoys volunteering at early childhood classrooms, playing the violin, and spending time with her friends and family.

 

Miss Gabby is currently an 9th grade student at Middletown High School. She is involved with the school's orchestra where she plays the violin.

 

Miss Gabby is honored to be a student teacher at Bella Dance Center and is very excited to work with your dancers!

Gabie Gomes

Student Teacher

Miss Gabie has been a Student Teacher for two years and loves it! She is going into her 8th season of dance. In addition to student teaching, Miss Gabie loves to cook and bake.  She also enjoys crafts such as coloring and painting. 

Miss Gabie is a fourteen year old freshman at Middletown High School. Last year she was recognized at National Junior honor Society for having 740 hours of volunteer work. She is taking all honors classes and will move along the Humanities pathway.

When Miss Gabie isn’t dancing you can find her at home with her family and her dog. During the weekend she also works at her dad's small business in Smyrna. She is so grateful for the opportunity to work with kids, and to help them grow as dancers.

Abby Wilson
Student Teacher

Miss Abby started dance when she was only 2 years old. She was at another studio for one year and then moved to Bella Dance Center and it was the best decision she’s ever made. Over the past 11 years, she has studied ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop, and musical theater. She joined Bella Dance Center’s competition team in 2015 and has enjoyed being part of a team, dancing 5-7 days a week, and having the experience of competing. She has been awarded many special judges awards for her musical theater solos.

When Miss Abby isn’t dancing she enjoys spending time with friends and family and is involved in many school activities.

Miss Abby is an 8th grade student at  Bohemia Manor Middle School. She excels in all of her classes and is in honors reading and math.

Miss Abby is honored to be selected as a Bella Dance Center Student-Teacher and is so excited to work with your dancer.
